Konkan Beaches :
Maharashtra’s 720-km. coastline and the adjoining area or 'Konkan' as it is called, extends from Dahanu in the north up to Goa in south. Konkan is well known for its natural beauty and is fast emerging as a favorite tourist destination for tourists. Konkan's greenery, coconut trees, beautiful virgin beaches, waterfalls, mountains and lush green valleys will definitely provide a rich and pleasant experience for the traveller. The areas of Devgad, Dapoli and Ratnagiri are famous for its Alphonso mangoes and also a lot of fish are exported from Ratnagiri port.The best Period to visit Konkan is from November to February as the temperatures are a bit milder with less humid conditions.
Alibag, Guhagar, Harihareshwar, Ganpatipule, Murud, Harne ,Diveagar,Tarkarli,Dapoli,Srivardhan, Karde, Hedvi and many more are extremely popular with tourists.
GOA
Goa, an endearing abode of scenic charm is a paradise, squeezed between the seas and the lush forested hills. It offers glistening sands, swaying coconut palms, and ultra fresh seafood, besides sensuous beaches and historical forts that have kept the legacy of the Portuguese alive. The various adventure sports offered as well as many beach activities in Goa make it a popular destination with tourists round the world.
Anjuna, Vagator, Baga, Mobor,Calangute,Bogmallo, Majorda,Miramar,Varca and many more are very beautiful beaches in Goa.
Kovalam
Kovalam is a beach town on the Arabian Sea in Kerala a state in south India .It is located around 13 km from downtown Thiruvananthapuram.
Kovalam has three crescent shaped beaches separated by rocky outcroppings. Shallow waters stretching for hundreds of metres are ideal for swimming. The beaches have steep palm covered headlands and are lined with shops that offer all kinds of goods and services.The larger of the beaches is called Light House Beach for its 35 metre high light house which towers over it atop Kurumkal hillock. The second largest one is Hawah Beach very popular with foreign tourists.
Pondicherry
The beaches in Pondicherry are extremely clean with clear waters and clean sands. To add to it the beaches are not very crowded. Maximum care has been given to highlight the beauty of these beaches with cafes and other eateries along with resorts and cottages for the visitors. These buildings are built in a way that it does not affect the calmness and the natural beauty of the beach. Some of the important monuments of the city are on the shores of this beautiful beach. They include the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Joan of Arc and Dupleix, the War Memorial etc. A proud beach named as Auroville beach due to its proximity to Auroville is located about 12 kms from the Pondicherry town. This beach is liked by all as it is extremely safe and serene with shallow waters .
Puri
Fine white sands roar off the breakers, rolling in from the Bay of Bengal and countless devotees flocking the place for a purification dip are the synonyms to the Puri Beach. The beach has continued to be a sacred venue for an endless number of pilgrims coming to pay homage to Lord Jagannath.The beaches of Puri are also renowned for the beautiful sand sculptures. The subjects are generally inspired by sculptures covering the temple walls, characters and episodes from the mythology and also the contemporary events. The beach at Puri offers a unique opportunity to witness the striking sunrise and the sunset on the same beach. Often crowded with holiday makers bathing in the afternoon, and enjoying the brightly lit kiosks in the night.
